WAT RATCHASINGKORN

The temple is thought to have been built in the reign of King Boromkot (1732-1758) at the end of the Ayutthaya period. Later, Somdet Krom Phra Ratchawangbowon Maha Surasinghanat , the Crown Prince in the reign of King Rama I, used his private funds to renovate it without making this public. This we learn from the eight slate Sema attached on each of the eight directions of the outer wall of the main chapel, the religious artifacts were built according to the order of the Crown Prince as a dedication to Buddhism.

Ubosot: It is believed to have been restored by HSH Princess Pikulthong and Princess Gaysom daughters of the Crown Prince, following the popular pattern in the reign of King Rama III.

Luangphor Daeng: An Ayutthaya Buddha image with Sukhothai influence made in a mixture of gold and bronze.

Chedi: The two chedis at the back of the ubosot and phra wihan (sermon hall) were built in "haystack" shape, a Rattanakosin chedi style.
