Transportation
Meter Taxi — the most comfortable way of transportation with reasonable rates. It's recommended you try to pick new ones. Visit Taxi Siam page for more info or just call 1661 when you need one.
Bus — the cheapest way of transportation but it may not be as comfortable in rush hours or the busy routes. Besides, if you're not familiar with the local area or you don't study enough about the bus route, it can give you a headache once you catch the wrong one. Motorcycle — guys wearing numbered waistcoat are found everywhere in Bangkok. They can ride you through alleys or main streets quickly even in rush hours. Riding on the motorcycle can be quite a thrill while it costs as much as the meter taxi.
Boat — transports along the Chao Praya River and canals around the city. It's quite cheap and faster than the land transportation usually taken by those who travel to places near the rivers or canals.

Boats or express boats have several routes but the most popular are

Sean-Saap, Express Canal Boat starts form Wat Sri Boon Ruang Pier (Bangkapi District) to Phan Fah Leelat Pier. The boat will be departure every 10-15 minutes. Ticket fee is 8-18 THB. For more information call 0 2375 2369 

Urban Railway System — the most convenient and fastest way of Bangkok transportation running in Bangkok urban area. there are 2 systems which connects at many stations
BTS — the sky trains running along the two main lines: Sukhumvit and Silom line.BTS page for more information.

MRT — Bangkok metro system (the underground) runs from Bangsue to Hualampong station. Visit MRT page for more information
Getting to Other Provinces

Taxi -- for near by provinces you can take a taxi. Just call on out and ask for a price. From Bangkok to Pattaya the fair can be from 1,000 -2,000 Baht.

Train — you can catch the train at the Hua Lampong station. It is the center of Thailand railway system. For more information click on the railway page
